Sustainability Standards in the Açaí Value Chain

This study presents three main sections: The first, reflect on the primary certification that operates in the Amazon territory linked to the supply chain of açaí and the elements related to its functioning. The following are the case studies carried out with companies and social organizations, focusing on schemes standards adopted. In the third and last section, present a systematization of the main notes and challenges. The methodology for this study was from a bibliographic review, secondary data collection, interviews with key actors, selected enterprises, and information from the meetings carried out by the “Pro- Açaí Dialogues.”
