This webinar aims to introduce the Korea-WB Smart City Partnership Program, known as the Global Smart City Partnership Program (GSCP), with the global audience at the World Smart City Expo Korea 2021. The GSCP was launched in 2018 through a partnership between the Korea Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) and the Global Practice for Urban, Disaster Risk Management, Resilience and Land (GPURL) at the World Bank. GSCP has been supporting the World Bank project teams and clients, with an aim to develop smart city best practices and smart city solutions as a building block for sustainable urban development and enhance the capacity of planning and implementing smart city initiatives and investment projects.
Jointly organized by Korea MOLIT and the GPURL at the World Bank, the session celebrates successful implementation of the program under Phase 1, by presenting the GSCP Phase 1 Completion Report. The session will discuss both achievements and challenges during Phase 1 implementation over the past three years. Korean experts who participated in the program will share their experiences of providing technical and advisory services to the World Bank teams and clients, followed by a presentation by KAIA on their support to the program.
